Description Photograph of the kitchen in the Church Family Dwelling, Mount Lebanon, NY. The Dwelling was completed in 1877. The photograph shows the family's stove, a linoleum covered floor, a clock hanging on the wall, a hanging gas lighting fixture, and a wall mounted oil lamp. The title for this photograph is supplied by Henry Terry Clough's hand-written title on the back of the card. The card is marked with Clough's distinctive monogram.

Provenance The photograph was presented to the Shaker Museum|Mount Lebanon by Mrs. Julia Clough in August, 1950. Julia Clough was the former Julia Matilda (Mintie) Dalton, who joined the Church Family at Mount Lebanon on July 11, 1876. She married Henry Terry Clough, also a Shaker.
The photograph once belonged to Henry Clough, an amateur photographer himself, and bears his hand-written monogram on the back of the card.
